I lived for a year in London and my best friend was from Sri Lanka and made sure I knew what good tea tastes like. Later, visiting Australia, I attended a play where the characters always asked "is it Dilmah?" when someone offered tea. This tea lived up to all my expectations and brought back great memories. I steeped 1 teaspoon in a tea strainer for something like 10 minutes (was aiming for 5 but got busy and forgot about it). Added some cream and took a sip and was immediately transported. Good strength and depth and goes great with cream. I also was very happy with the attention to detail in the tin design. The whole tin was shrink-wrapped and then the tin itself has an inner lid that keeps the tea protected when you pop the top. Removing that lid, the tea is in a vacuum-packed mylar bag, which I cut open (ah the fragrance) and took what I needed and then tucked right back into the tin. There was also a small booklet that I only glanced at, but I think it was about all their teas. This is great stuff and I am going to enjoy drinking it.

We are big tea drinkers in our household, and I recently picked up a tin of Dilmah's t-Series Ceylon Black Tea. It's a loose leaf blend, and the first thing that struck me was the aroma is rich and malty, with a hint of spice. I use my coffee maker with a tea basket, and it worked perfectly for steeping this tea. The leaves brewed up a deep amber color, and the taste lived up to the smell. It's definitely robust and full-bodied, with a good kick of caffeine, but not overly bitter. I like that it has depth to the flavor, with hints of caramel and maybe even a touch of citrus. It's definitely a strong cup of tea, perfect for mornings or a needed afternoon pick me up. I've also enjoyed it with a splash of milk and honey for a bit of sweetness and creaminess. It's a high-quality loose leaf blend that delivers on flavor and strength.

I found this Dilmah T-Series Brilliant Breakfast to be exceptional at first sip. It boasts a remarkably fresh and bright taste. While it carries briskness, the astringency is perfectly balanced, creating a harmonious blend. When I add honey and cream, it transforms into a magical cup, revealing floral, buttery, and caramel notes. This tea appears to be a broken orange pekoe, releasing robust flavors within just 3 minutes. I haven't extended the brewing time much beyond that, as I aim to avoid excessive briskness. However, I'm curious about the potential for an even richer cup. I use 1tsp per 8oz of water and brew for 3 to 3.5 minutes loose in a tea pot and pour through a sieve instead of cramming it into a tea ball or infuser. Experimenting with longer steeping times might uncover additional layers of flavor, given the evident potential of this tea. I will be buying this again when I run out.

I am a casual tea drinker, but this tea is so nice, it makes me feel much fancier than I am. I love the flavor, it’s smooth and delicious, easy to drink but more interesting and impressive than the tea bags I normally use. This tea along with a steeping ball and/or mug would make for an excellent gift for the tea drinker in your life, the tin is lovely and durable. It even has a second layer to the lid to keep the tea extra fresh. It’s also great as a gift to oneself, I am enjoying it and it feels like a treat.

While I love coffee some mornings I want some tea so when I saw this I decided to give it a shot. It came packaged just fine with no spills or anything. Getting it out it is a tin of loose-leaf tea that smells amazing. I fired up my kettle and let some steep for ~5 mins. I poured it and took a drink it was a pretty good black tea nothing crazy just a solid black tea. I then added the magic to it (cream and a touch of sugar) and it was a great breakfast drink. If you like black tea this is pretty solid.
